About Hunter Family Medical Clinic

At Hunter Family Medical Clinic, our health care providers take pride in offering personal attention and complete medical services that our patients and their families deserve.

They will guide you through each step: diagnosis, identification of treatment options, coordination of specialty care and assistance with recovery.

Our providers can treat a wide variety of medical issues for pediatric, adolescent and adult patients. If needed, we can also provide ready access to specialty care.

Kurt Hunter

M.D.
Dr. Hunter pursued a career in medicine to educate others how to improve and maintain their health.

Dr. Kurt Hunter graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science degree in microbiology. He then graduated with a Ph.D. from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He completed a three-year residency with the University of Wyoming Family Practice Residency program in Casper, Wyoming.

He is the owner and CEO of Hunter Family Medical Clinic in Sweetwater County. Dr. Hunter and his wife Julie have lived in Rock Springs for 25 years. They enjoy spending time with their family, hunting, camping, boating, fishing and baseball.

Dylan Powell

Dylan Powell grew up in Star Valley, Wyoming. Dylan was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when he was 12-years-old and the experience of living with diabetes greatly influenced him to pursue a career in the medical field.

He attended the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics. He attended Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona, and has a Master of Medical Science degree in physician assistant studies. Dylan is nationally certified by the NCCPA and is licensed to practice medicine in Wyoming.

Dylan and his family have lived in Rock Springs since 2008. Dylan and his wife, Natalie, are parents of four children. Dylan's hobbies are hiking, fishing, camping and backpacking in the Wind River Range of Wyoming. He loves to watch and follow the Liverpool Football Club.

Dan Pedersen

Dan Pedersen has always valued the importance of making healthy choices and the reward that comes with helping others achieve a healthy lifestyle.

Dan completed his undergraduate degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion at the University of Wyoming. He then attended the Physician Assistant Program at the University of Colorado Health Sciences.

Dan is married with three children and a dog. He loves living in a small, friendly community which offers a great venue for many outdoor activities. He enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, biking and disc golf.

Calie Wilson

NP-C
Calie is a board-certified Nurse graduating top of her class and receiving a Master of Science in Nursing from Frontier Nursing University.

Calie enjoys caring for patients of all ages with an emphasis in women's health. She is passionate about providing individualized and empathetic care.

Home grown in Rock Springs, Calie loves spending time with her husband and daughter in the great outdoors camping, golfing and reading.
